At the same conference I shared about last week, Michael Hyatt visited with another friend. This one, however, was positive and spoke highly of everyone he mentioned. After encountering these two friends who were opposites as far as their attitudes that day, he realized they had different approaches to life. I shared his views last week about living with the negative mindset. This week I am sharing some of his suggestions for living a more positive and happy life.

1. “Become self-aware.” Take time to assess your own attitude and acknowledge any negativity you find.

2. Determine why you are negative and complaining. What need are you trying to meet? Look for better ways to meet the needs you find.

3. Commit to change and begin replacing the habit of complaining and looking for the bad in situations with a more positive outlook.

4. Begin acting as if you are. Smile and be pleasant to others. As you begin looking for the good in people, you will find it.

We choose the mindset in which we live. I encourage you to choose to be happy and see the good in life rather than the bad. I believe that if you make this choice you will begin to live your life to the fullest!
