I am one of those people who hits the snooze button in the mornings when the alarm clock starts. I choose not to share how many times that might happen. I find that I feel much better if I just go ahead and get up rather than delaying the inevitable, but that knowledge doesn’t always get me up. I love the day once it gets started and I know I will have to rush if I snooze one more time, but . . .
This past week has been much better due to something I read last weekend. In Seven Choices for Success and Significance, Nido R. Qubein suggests that we change the name “alarm clock” to “opportunity clock.” Now, I immediately liked that idea. He suggests that the way we get up in the morning sets our attitude for the day, So this week I woke up thinking about the opportunities I would encounter throughout the day. It has been a better week overall since I have begun to awaken looking forward with a smile.
What can you change to improve your day so that you can be sure to live your fullest life?
