One of the primary highlights of my recent trip out west was the terrain. It was wonderful to see how differently God landscaped there! We went to Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Compared to what I am accustomed to seeing, it looked pretty much dead and brown. There is some scattered green, but even the green looked faded to me. The interesting thing was that, due to the flatness of the land, you could see for miles.
As we drove on toward Flagstaff, Arizona, we saw many miles of flat, brown land, most barren of buildings as well. It was amazing to go so far and see so little! The drive brought many questions to our minds. “I wonder how that one, lone little house out there gets water. Where do they shop? Why would someone want to live way out here?”
Yes, this was all so very different to us, but it was beautiful in its own unique way. We were awestruck and amazed! God created it all and yet He made it so different – just like He did with us. He created humans so different that there are no two exactly alike. We are all so different, yet we are all awesome and amazing. We are individuals. In fact, it is our individuality that makes us so special!
Just as we admire God’s beauty in the varying terrain of the earth, let us also admire and appreciate one another.
