You only live once. And, you don’t know how long you will have to live. Two reasons to make the most of every moment.

I just recently learned of the abbreviation, YOLO, which is used by young people in texting and on facebook. This prompted some deeper thought and reflection in me. We each have our own one personal life to live. Just one. It is completely up to us what we do with this one life. That is a pretty awesome gift, when you really think about it. A whole lifetime that we can do with whatever we choose. Wow!

Reflect with me on your one life. How many years of it have you already lived? How many more years do you think you might have? Are you happy with how you have lived this gift of life so far? If yes, how can you continue to live a fulfilled life? If your answer is no, then what must you change so that you will be happy with your life?

A friend recently passed away unexpectedly. This friend was in the prime of her life. I admired all that she had accomplished and the difference she made in the lives of so many. However, I also know that she had so many more desires and goals she was aspiring to. Yet, with all this life left within her, her earthly life ended.

We aren’t promised tomorrow. Allow me to encourage you today to live your gift of one life . . . to the fullest.
