That’s just not normal.  Have you ever heard someone say this?  What is normal anyway?  Patsy Clairmont says normal is just a setting on a dryer.  normalDave Ramsey says normal is being in debt.  The dictionary defines normal as “conforming to the standard or the common type, usual, regular, typical, average, ordinary.”   Who wants to be average or ordinary?  Not me!

If I don’t want to be average or ordinary, what do I want to be?  What is the opposite of normal?  I believe the opposite of normal is awesome, fulfilled, fun and adventurous!  That’s what I want to be!

Guess what!  The choice is yours.  If you don’t want to be normal, you don’t have to be!  Would you like to know how you can leave normal?  The way to leave normal is to simply find out who you are and then be that person.

It may take a little time to find out who you are.  Here are a couple suggestions to get you started:

Just start paying attention to yourself – your true self who is down deep inside you.  Look for the answers to these questions:  What do you enjoy doing more than anything else?  What makes you feel alive when you do it?  What are you good at?  What is that activity that you can do for two hours and it feels like 15 minutes?  What matters most to you?  What do you value most in life?

You can also ask people who know you well what they think are your top three attributes.  Other people see us differently than we see ourselves.

What do you dream about someday doing?  What are you passionate about?  What is the difference you want to make in the world?

If you will simply begin today to dwell on these questions and start to discover the answers for yourself, you will find the direction in which to take the first step toward living . . . your life to the fullest.
