Our thoughts directly affect every aspect of our life. Are you intentionally monitoring your thoughts to ensure they are as effective as possible? Here are some ideas to help you in that endeavor.
Study the literature and learn what you can. This will nourish you with intriguing ideas – literally giving you “food for thought.” But don’t just blindly accept the work of the experts. Take that food and break it down thoroughly, tasting every little bite. Explore and digest each morsel.
Make sure that you think for yourself. Observing the actions of others and creating our own thoughts and opinions regarding situations is just as critical as learning from books. Let your imagination freely explore what you see and experience. Henry Ford said, “Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it.” Be one of the few and think on purpose.
Effective thinking will result in desire to take action on what you learn. That action, if taken consistently, will change your life. As Earl Nightingale stated, “You become what you think about.” You naturally begin to move toward what is on your mind.
Guard your mind. Think effectively. Change your world. Live! . . . your life to the fullest.
