A story was told about an urgent call to a doctor.  It was a cold, rainy night and the caller asked the doctor to come see his wife who was in need of medical help.  The doctor graciously agreed to come, but since his car was being repaired he asked the caller to come pick him up.  The indignant voice replied, “in this weather?”

The state of urgency is often dependent on the perspective of the person.

Many successful people will tell you that it is a sense of urgency to get things done that caused their success.  In fact, this is a greater determining factor than even intelligence or competency.  Fully capable people who intend to do things later are often far less successful in their endeavors than the ones who act on their feeling the need to get started now.  Zig Ziglar shares that if you feel like you can’t take a big step toward your goals, then take a small step – but take it now.

Do you feel the urgency to create the life you really want to live, or is that life just a far away  dream that will never come true?  Your actions are based on your feelings.  Your feelings are determined by your thoughts.  You can control what you think about.  The outcome is up to you!

Find the urgency to take the next step so you can begin now to live . . . your life to the fullest.
