How do we attain success in life?  What drives our actions to move toward a goal?  What is the key to achievement?  Claude Bristol, an author from the 1940s, says it is desire.  He stated, “ . . . desire is the motivating force of life itself.”

Think about it.  Why do you work hard at your job?  Hopefully it is because you desire to help people and make a difference in the world.  I’m sure your desire to eat and have a place to live also play a role in your hard work!  You exercise and resist that second helping at dinner because you desire to be healthy and fit.

Do you remember as a child saving up your money so you could purchase that special toy?  You were able to set those dollars and pennies aside because of the desire for the toy.  You stuck with it and studied hard to receive your degree or certification because you desired that important piece of paper and sense of accomplishment.

Without desire, we wouldn’t get very far.

Don’t let your life be spent just wishing for more.  Grasp the strong desire for the life you can’t wait to live so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
