What feels better than working hard toward a goal and then reaching it!  Achieving a goal is reason for celebration.  The way you celebrate, however, can be life-changing.  I recently achieved a goal and learned a lesson from my celebration.

I set a specific weight loss goal over a year ago.  I got within 10 pounds of my desired weight and was not able to keep my mind set on finishing.  I recently started an awesome new program and reached my goal quickly.

What I am learning about myself because of this awesome health program I am doing is that in the PAST achieving the goal meant the end. Done. Go back to life as usual.

When reaching a weight loss goal in the PAST, I celebrated by going out and eating whatever I wanted which always included sweets. This time, however, I celebrated by moving into transition phase so I can maintain the healthy weight.

Working toward and achieving goals needs to be a continuous part of life. When you don’t have clearly defined goals that build upon each other, you will not become your very best self.

Work hard, celebrate well and live . . .your life to the fullest.
