It’s Monday and the weather folks are predicting snow for tomorrow morning.  In fact, the geographical scope and amounts are growing the closer we get.  It is late afternoon and already the ongoing news coverage has begun.

Whether you like the prospect of snow or you don’t, it does change things when you live in the South.  How has it changed my Monday?  I’ve been more attentive to the news forecasts.  There are already many businesses closing so I have spent some time rescheduling appointments from tomorrow to later in the week.  Rethinking my week and making alternate plans.

I love seeing snow but I must admit that the timing for this event is not the best for me.  However, we can always find the positive if we look for it.

I choose to be grateful.

  • I don’t have to be concerned about getting stuck out on the road for hours or stranded away from home for days. Technology is so incredible that we get sufficient notice – usually.
  • My schedule is arranged so that now I can relax and be safe at home tomorrow, knowing that I can take care of business later.
  • I may even get to sit and watch it snow for a little while. That is the most peaceful feeling!

Life often brings the unexpected.  We have no choice about that, but we can choose our response.  Choose gratitude so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
