What do you want and why do you want it?

That next big accomplishment you want to achieve.  What is your goal?  Have you written out the details?  Do you have a timeline?

Setting a goal with all the specifics is very important when there is something you want.  It will help you take the action to get started in the right direction.  However, in order to continue moving forward, even when motivation wanes and tough days come, there is another element that is needed.

Your why.  I heard years ago that if you have a big enough why you can achieve any what.

For example, maybe you would like a promotion at work.  Why do you want the promotion?  Is it for the increased pay?  The title?  So you can supervise more people?  Because you think you would enjoy the work better?

Or, possibly your goal is to lose 25 pounds before the holidays.  Why?  So you can look better?  Because you want to improve your health?  You want to be able to play in the floor with your grandkids?

You see, the deep desire of your why will keep you focused and motivated to take the necessary action.  Willpower is limited.  You must get deeper inside yourself to discover the true reason.

Set your goal.  Discover your why.  Achieve your dream.  Live . . . your life to the fullest.
