Living in the South means experiencing the four seasons each year, even though the borders are foggy much of the time.  Winter often includes some days with Spring-like temperatures and Spring and Fall are usually too short for my liking.  There are, however, some of those “perfect” days, or at least portions of a day, to enjoy.

Today has some of those moments.  The sun is shining bright.  The forecast holds pretty high temperatures, but this morning was very comfortable.  So, I decided to take it!

The drive to my gym has some beautiful scenery.  Pastures, horses, white fences, lakes, green grass and big trees.  So, I chose to make this a special moment.  I opened the sunroof and the windows and took off!  Taking the time to truly see what you encounter is so rewarding.  Noticing the bright blue sky, the deep green of nature and the beautiful lakes.  The houses setting far back off the road, some with winding driveways leading to them.  Horses grazing.

The feeling of peace and beauty brings a smile.  Gratefulness floods your heart.  Joy floods your soul.  Even when the journey ahead may be uphill, recognizing what you have can change your life.

Whether nature, relationships, or having a roof over your head and food to eat.  Take time to see.  Take it when you can.  That is when you will know you are living . . . your life to the fullest.
