Have you ever found yourself in a state of simply going through the motions? You know what needs to be done, so you just do it. You can often get the necessities done without giving it much thought at all.
How do you feel when you go through a few days, weeks, or even months this way?
Some words I use to describe those feelings are blah, meh, dissatisfied, unfulfilled.
What is missing? Passion. Passion is missing. When you don’t have the strong desire and craving for what your actions are accomplishing, then you lose the satisfaction and fulfillment. Everything we do should serve a purpose.
I can see where it might be difficult to be passionate about doing dishes or laundry. But when you recognize that the underlying purpose is to take care of what you have so you can maintain the best life possible for you and your family, it begins to feel a bit better. When you take the time to think more deeply about why you do what you do, then you begin to find your passion.
Whether building a business, working toward a dream, or caring for your family. Be aware of your why. That is when you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
