Do you like getting advice?  Do you follow the advice you receive from others?

Receiving guidance and recommendations from other people can be helpful.  Reaching out to someone who has more experience in a particular area than you have is a good thing.  For instance, I recently scheduled a cruise with a friend.  We sought counsel from a travel agent who is familiar with the ships and ports.  Her assistance enabled us to make a more confident decision about our trip.

There are also times when we may receive advice that was not requested.  That can be a good thing as well.  Some people just naturally offer suggestions because it is their way of helping.

Receiving advice does not mean you must follow it.  Seek to better understand and then make your own decision.  The responsibility is ultimately yours.

I recently read an anonymous quotation that reminded me there is one other place where advice can be beneficial.  It stated, “The best way to succeed in life is to act on the advice we give to others.”

Sometimes we already know what to do.  We just need to do it.

Take the action so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
