Given the choice, which would you choose?  Strong or Gold?  I chose Strong first, but I have since discovered Gold is the right choice for me.

I began at a new gym the first of the year and may have been a bit over-confident.  Yes, I had been working out, but in more of a personal training setting.  The new gym has larger classes.  I chose to start with the Strong workout class and I actually gave Zumba a try for the first time ever.  Both classes were very full and crowded – and extremely fast-paced.

As I was reviewing the schedule for Friday options, I found the Gold Zumba class.  This is a slower-paced class for older adults.  It fit my schedule, so I gave it a try.  Not only was it much more comfortable for me, I met several nice people.  I learned from them that there are exercise classes for this group as well.  This week I attended a workout class and loved it.

Yes, I can officially be considered a senior, but admitting that I am better suited to these classes was pretty tough for me at first.  I had to remind myself that the reason I started working out at a gym in the first place is because I want to be my very best as I become older.  Proper diet and exercise truly does enable us to keep doing more for longer.

Achieving my exercise goals is very important to me.  It is also a priority of mine to surround myself with likeminded, motivated people.  I have found both!

I want to live the best life possible for me, even if it requires facing some not-so-fun facts.

What facts do you need to face?  What choices do you need to make?  Take a good, honest look at yourself before making those decisions.  That is how you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
