Many will agree that during this time we are in there is not much to laugh about. People are sick, some are not living through it. A lot of folks are struggling financially because their workplaces are no longer open. Most of us are spending much more time at home than usual and many are not enjoying that at all.
So why in the world am I even bringing up laughter? Well, I ran across this anonymous quotation today: “It is not by the things you say, It is not by the things you do, But it’s by the things you laugh at, That I know what is really you.”
Personally, I laugh at myself a lot. I have learned not to take myself so seriously, but to take things as they come and make the best of it. We know that laughter is good like a medicine.
Even if you have absolutely nothing to laugh about, do it anyway. You may not feel like it at first, but it becomes contagious. As you laugh, you want to laugh more. As you laugh, others will laugh along with you (or at least at you 😊).
Allow laughter to lighten your spirit so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
