Corrie ten Boom shared about an elderly woman in her book, Tramp for the Lord.  This was during the Cold War, a time when Christians were persecuted.  The woman’s body was crippled by multiple sclerosis.  She was not at all mobile.  The only part of her body she could control was her right index finger.

She spent hours each day and into the night typing with this one finger.  She was translating the Bible and Christian books into the Russian language.  Her husband, whose time was all taken with her care, watched as she slowly moved the finger across the keyboard time after time.

When Corrie ten Boom saw the woman propped up on the sofa, she expressed her concern by asking God why He didn’t heal her.  The woman’s husband shared how God had a purpose for her sickness.  The secret police were watching Christians very closely during that time.  However, because this woman had been so sick for so long, they didn’t follow her.  She was the only one who could safely translate this Christian information.

Wow!  God worked through her weakness to strengthen His kingdom.  “ . . . for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”  II Corinthians 12:9

Feeling weak?  Simply follow God and allow Him to help you live . . .  life to the fullest.
