I have had to make some changes to my exercise routine due to the current situation with the virus. I was just getting into the flow of going to classes and meeting people in the group when everything suddenly shut down.  I was not successful at maintaining any type of workout schedule for several months.  When the gym reopened, some of the classes were not reinstated and those that did start back had limited availability due to distancing requirements.

I decided to work out on my own using the equipment.  It didn’t take me long to realize how helpful it would be to have something to listen to while exercising.  I purchased a headset and began listening to podcasts.  That was a definite win-win for me!  It was like adding time to my day.

I enjoy walking at least a mile on the track after my strength training.  For a while I listened to podcasts during my walk as well.  However, last week I thought that it might be more energizing to listen to some fast music while I walk.  I searched for Christian workout music and found some fast-paced songs.

Whew!!!  Did that ever make a difference!  Now, instead of walking with a little jogging included, I jog more than I walk.  Not only that, but the lyrics are so encouraging that I feel like dancing around that track!

I know you are probably not really interested in my exercise tactics, but the point is that (1) making even a small change improves life, and (2) it matters what you allow into your mind.

Be intentional about the tweaks you make.  They can be life-changing and enable you to live . . . your life to the fullest.
