The story is told about a man who was at work one day feeling especially grateful for his life.  He thought of his good job, his healthy children and his wonderful wife.  “She does so much to care for our home and family,” he thought.  He decided he would stop on the way home from work and buy her flowers to show his love and appreciation.  Yes, he felt very pleased with his decision.

As the work day progressed, many issues arose.  He was putting out fires all afternoon and ended up leaving work late.  He remembered his plan to pick up flowers, but decided it was too late to do that.

As he entered the door to his home, he heard the kids screaming and the dog barking.  His wife seemed flustered and very unhappy.  She greeted him with a scowl and complaints about the day she had and that he was late.

He left the room feeling puzzled and distraught and thinking to himself, “How can she be that way when I was going to bring her flowers!”

Good intentions mean nothing unless acted upon.  Take action so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
