Years ago subway trains in New York City had a campaign encouraging passengers to be more courteous to other riders. Posters presented the plea in three little words.
This encouragement was needed then, and even more now. These three words can go a long way in bringing some peace to the troubled relationships in the world today. Simple courtesy. Why does that seem so difficult nowadays?
Giving respect to every individual, even those we may not consider deserving of it, would make a positive impact. We don’t know what the person sitting next to us is going through or the pain they may have suffered in the past. We all need a little mercy from time to time.
Please, sorry and thanks. Let us put these three little words into action so we can live . . . life to the fullest.
