As a health coach, one of the first questions we ask a prospective client is “Why do you want to be healthy?” Exploring the why and putting it in writing is critical to success. Some common answers are: to be around to see their grandchildren grow up, to be able to enjoy retirement, to feel better and improve confidence.
When the client begins to struggle after awhile on the program, I direct them back to their why. Seeing results and staying reminded of the reason they started this journey are the two greatest motivators.
Whether weight loss, career goals, getting out of debt or relationships. This small action can produce a huge benefit.
