I am a firm believer in doing what you enjoy and what brings you fulfillment.  Understanding yourself, your strengths and your purpose, and then living life in a way that fulfills that purpose, is what achieves that goal.  It is a very special blessing when the work you do to earn your income fits that description.  Most people spend as much or more time working each day as doing anything else.  You will naturally feel better when you are doing what you enjoy.

Many people are not in a position where their employment duties fit into their “joy and fulfillment” category.  Even if that is where you find yourself, you can still find your fulfillment through other activities.  Volunteering, whether through an organization or on your own, is one way.  Involvement in church or with other groups can help you find opportunities.

Some of us are blessed to be retired, or partially retired.  We’ve already worked for our income.  That gives us even more time for those fulfilling activities.

Whether you are actually working for your monetary income or not, you write your own paycheck every day.  Fulfillment comes in the form of emotional pay.  The value of that cannot be measured in a dollar amount.

What are you writing on your paycheck today?  Make it count so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
