Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  Pretty simple, right?  Maybe, unless you consider this interesting quotation from Dr. Frank Crane.

Dr. Crane was a Presbyterian minister, speaker, and columnist who wrote a set of ten volumes of “Four Minute Essays” which were published in 1919.  Among his many inspiring writings is found this quotation, “The Golden Rule is of no use to you whatever unless you realize that it is your move.”

We often think of the Golden Rule as an encouragement to respect others by not mistreating them.  Don’t do something to anyone else that you would not want done to you.  That is a good philosophy, but there is so much more to it.

If you look closely, you will realize that the rule doesn’t say, “don’t do.”  It says “do.”

What would make your day extra special?  What would put a smile on your face?  It may be as simple as a phone call or a thoughtful text message.

Look around.  Who do you know who has a need you can meet?

It’s your move.  Do unto someone today so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
