Well, of course I do! This is what you may be thinking. But . . .
Do you really know yourself? You know what you do every day, what makes you feel happy and what makes you feel sad. But there is a deeper level of awareness that will help bring you fulfillment like you have never known before.
How do you get this knowledge? Simply pay closer attention to yourself. Ask yourself these questions: What do you enjoy doing more than anything else? What makes you feel alive when you do it? What are you good at? What is that activity that you can do for two hours and it feels like 15 minutes? What “takes you away” from present circumstances? What matters most to you? What do you value most in life?
When you seriously reflect on the answers to these questions, you will begin to understand who you are at the core. But don’t stop there. After you have spent some time with yourself and these answers, reach out.
Ask for input from people who know you well. We judge ourselves by our intentions and others by their actions. We know what we are thinking and why we do what we do. Other people only see what we do. Ask them what they see.
Choose five people you are closest to. Ask them to list what they consider to be your top three attributes. Ask them to list three things you could improve on.
Go ahead. Get to know yourself so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
