Nobody wants trouble, but is that actually the best perspective?
“If I had a formula for bypassing trouble, I would not pass it around. Trouble creates a capacity to handle it. I don’t say embrace trouble; that’s as bad as treating it as an enemy. But I do say meet it as a friend, for you’ll see a lot of it and you had better be on speaking terms with it.” Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.
Many successful people came from difficult circumstances. Zig Ziglar grew up in a single-parent home with 12 children. He worked at a young age to help support the family. He struggled in business for years before finding success in motivating others.
Dave Ramsey, who is known for his instruction on how to get out of debt and become financially sound, became the expert because he had experienced it himself. If he had not encountered these difficulties he might not have achieved the success he now has.
In fact, it is usually the determination learned because of troubled circumstances that causes these well-known people to be successful.
Don’t try to avoid all problems and discomfort. Instead, recognize difficulties as an opportunity for growth.
Look for the lessons to be learned from your trouble so you can live! . . . your life to the fullest..
