Surgery went well and I received the Pathology results the following Wednesday, August 24th. Confirmed good results, just as I expected. I believe in celebrating every possible occasion. Sometimes it’s lunch with a couple of friends and sometimes a bigger celebration such as a party when I graduated from college at age 49. After I received the news the Wednesday before surgery that I wouldn’t need radiation, I decided to celebrate by going on an “instead of radiation” cruise to Mexico.
I just returned from my cruise a few days ago. Although we left with the threat of Hurricane Nate joining us in Mexico, we had beautiful weather. There was one short shower while we were on our tour in Merida, but otherwise the weather was great. It was wonderful to see sites I had never seen, meet lots of very nice people and have time to relax and enjoy God’s creation. I especially enjoyed having the opportunity to share the reason for the cruise. I feel extremely blessed!
