My blog post is late this week. There are so many things to do during the Christmas season – dinners with friends, church parties, work parties, buying gifts for children of needy families . . . . It is easy to become caught up in the activities and be too tired to enjoy them! I attended a church ladies party last night. I would have enjoyed visiting longer, but had to be the first one to leave because of what I needed to accomplish to be ready for the breakfast at work this morning. When I think about all of this busyness, instead of feeling overwhelmed by it all, I feel grateful. I’m grateful that I have friends who I can enjoy being with, a church family who cares about me, a job where I work with wonderful, caring people. Our women’s director shared a great devotion last night encouraging us to live in the moment. I choose today to enjoy the worship of Christmas carols, the fun of the well-known Christmas songs and the joy of the true reason for the season.
Yes, my post is late this week, but I am blessed and enjoying Christmas this year.
