You know what you want, but . . .
The big promotion at work brings with it prestige, respect and authority. That feels great and now it’s yours! Then you quickly realize the work that must be done behind the scenes. Many hours of labor are required before the presentation can be made. The attention is nice, but . . .
That beautiful new house is yours! You qualified for the payments and now you have moved in. All of a sudden you discover that you no longer seem to have enough hours in the day. Keeping that house clean and maintaining that expansive lawn takes a lot of time.
Your lifetime dream has been to be a physician. Then you find out how much education is necessary. May not feel so dreamy now.
Along with everything you love comes something that you don’t necessarily like. Anything of true value requires some effort that is not always enjoyable. It is easy to become bogged down with what we consider unenjoyable.
Don’t get stuck in the work. Anything worth having is worth working for. Appreciate your responsibility so you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
