Attain the American Dream.  Get the education and climb the corporate ladder.  Buy the big house and the expensive cars.  This is the natural, expected process of life.  But is it the best?

This might be a good goal, but good is the enemy of best.  Many people who achieve this goal and appear to others to have it all are actually very unhappy people.  It doesn’t take them long to discover that things are not what brings fulfillment.

Instead, what if we flipped the process?  Zig Ziglar says, “You’ve got to be before you can do and do before you can have.”  What if our focus is set on becoming our best self?  Being a person of integrity, honesty and uprightness.  Finding our true purpose and living it out.

It is when we become what we were meant to be, that we will have what we are meant to have.  We are meant to have a fulfilling, meaningful life.

Seek to become, not to acquire.  That is when you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
