It started with a small general store in 1902 in Wyoming.

The owner believed in treating each customer as he would want to be treated.  James Cash Penney built a multi-billion dollar a year empire on this principle.  The J.C. Penney stores were actually called The Golden Rule Stores for years.

Mr. Penney recognized that helping others is the way to success.  He is an excellent example of living out this principle.

Unfortunately, many of us fear that we will lose who we are when we make life about serving others.  The truth is that when we take the focus off us and put it on others, that is when we find who we truly are.

Want success?  Serve others.  That is when you can live . . . your life to the fullest.
