Michelle Prince, author of Winning in Life Now, shared about procrastination in her recent newsletter. She says, “when we are procrastinating, it’s usually over the things that will make our lives better. Not doing them usually results in unpleasant consequences.” I am the only person who can stop myself from procrastinating. Michelle offers four tips to help us.
First, we must identify what is holding us back. Do your behaviors reveal fear? How about difficulty managing the 24 hours in each day? That is often the excuse we use. And yes, I consider that an excuse. We all have the same amount of time in a day; it is up to us to decide how we will use that time. We may need to cut some activities in order to do what is more important to us in the long run. We must decide what we want most to accomplish and then use our time wisely to achieve that goal.
