3-18-15I am sitting in Birmingham at Railroad Park just enjoying the beauty of this Spring day. The forecast predicts rain tonight, but right now, at this moment, it just couldn’t be prettier.

The sun is shining bright, the sky is blue with a few white clouds sparsely placed by God. Tall buildings where hundreds of people are working set against that beautiful blue backdrop. I am watching people walk by, some with babies in strollers, some holding the leash of their dear dog, some chatting with their walking partner, some chatting on their phone and then some walking, or jogging, for exercise. I see a young man turning cartwheels in the grass while the baby in the stroller next to him watches, or not. Others are throwing a Frisbee to one another. I am looking at a bird cheerfully sitting on the branch of a tree that is not yet wearing its green leaves. I see trains passing and an airplane flying overhead. The gentle breeze makes this a perfect time to be here.

Just yesterday I was stressing about all that I need to get done. I was telling God how much I need His help. Even this morning I reviewed my plan for the day and have accomplished some of it already. Yes, I planned this time to do some writing before my next appointment, although writing this blog post was not on the agenda. God, however, knew what would help me the most was to spend some time sitting in and admiring His creation.

I will be leaving Railroad Park shortly and the forecast is bringing rain tonight, but right now I am spending time in the awesomeness and glory of my Heavenly Father. I am truly enjoying this special moment.

I invite you to find a special place and time for your moment with God so that you can begin today to live . . .life to the fullest.
