You know how when you hear the same thing from several different sources within just a few days you realize that “Someone” is trying to tell you something? Well, here is the message I have been hearing lately – you don’t have because you don’t ask. Sounds simple, so why don’t we just do it!?!
There are many possible reasons. First of all, we don’t seem to be aware we need to ask. After all, the Bible tells us that God knows what we need before we ask. However, the Bible also tells us that we must ask.
We may feel that we don’t deserve to ask, or to receive what we ask for. It may be fear that keeps us from asking – the fear of asking, or maybe even the fear of receiving what we ask for. If we receive what we ask for, then we must do something with it. Do we really want to put forth that effort?
Could it be that we are too content and comfortable without it and it is just easier to feel like we are waiting on God to give it to us, not realizing that He is waiting on us to ask?
When we really want something badly enough, we find out how to get it and then we do whatever it takes. What are you waiting on God to give you? Have you sincerely asked Him for it?
Make up your mind to ask right now so you can begin to live! . . . life to the fullest.
